Hi!
So sorry for not being more specific! S & W stands for Stack & Whack. Someone else might be better at explaining this, but on this quilt it involved stacking 8 layers of fabric and cutting them into wedges. All 8 layers of fabric have to be lined up with the exact same repeat pattern all the way through, so that when you lay the wedges out in a pie shape, each block will have the kaleidoscope effect.
