I have seen packages of the wide satin binding at fabric stores. I think I would go with that if you can get it in a colour you can use. As for ruffled satin binding, it makes me shudder just to think about trying to do that on your quilt edge. I see the exact same problems that you do. I am glad that I am not the only one that sees an issue with this. Made me stop and just stare at her when she told me this.. On top of this, she is one of the office staff at work that has taken me under her wing and allowed me to be a part of the 'upper management' functions.. I gota get this one right or else.. (I don't have time for this, I have a Mystery quilt to do for everyone here!!! )
