There's a lot to be said for the finishing processes after piecing. I HATE the sandwich process. Mostly because I have small rooms with no large area to spread out or spread flat the sandwich. If I get on the floor, I can barely get up after a short time. If I'm bent over a bed or table for long, I'm sore for days.

Bringing to a long arm quilter is expensive, and though well worth it, probably isn't the answer to every quilt you make. Maybe you just don't enjoy doing the FMQ yourself or don't feel confident? Have you tried or like to do hand quilting? Maybe mixing up between the three alternatives would give you some enjoyment?

Perhaps there's someone on the QB that loves to quilt, hates to piece and you could work out some sort of mutual agreeable swap/arrangement.

Maybe after all that quilting you just need a little rest. Piecing eight quilts is a huge accomplishment in and of itself. Would love to see pics of your tops.
