another time saver is the "Unread Threads" list (under What's New?)
if you are logged in, the list will show all the threads you haven't yet looked at for the first time.
if you click on "Mark All Forums Read" it will clear that list for a fresh start. Lists will then include any that have been created since you marked them read.
