I am trying to make a quilt for my daughter who doesn't care for traditional patterns. So I thought I'd copy her couch pillows and rug....... ha.
Here is what I have. I've got a bunch done in colors of her pillow and rug, and had my daughter-in-law look at it today, who said it needed a 'pattern' to it. She suggested just using the three colors, so it doesn't look so jumbled. My DH said it's a quilt, it's supose to look jumbled, and said he'd use them all except for the light blue ones. And I have absolutely no sense of patterns, etc, myself.

So - what would you do if you were doing it? Other than tossing it all in the garbage, which is what I'd like to do. lol!!

Her area rug I've taken some colors from....
