I wish I can say I brought one under 1000 but I didn`t ... Mother brought her an heavyduty babylock for 300 and it does everythings ,heavy blue jeans ,, ect,. They have serverals that are under the that price .it all depend what you are wanting this machine to do and the functions you need .. Honestly I WILL NOT BE WITHOUT MY BABYLOCK MACHINES......
