Actually, when finished they look similar. If you put a third fabric in the center of the 10-minute block and roll the edges of the diamond back over your 3rd fabric and either hand stitch or top stitch, it looks like the real thing.
The real Cathederal Window has a finished back when done properly, the 10-minute window has raw seams on the reverse and must be backed.
