Well ... I worked for a few years in the pharmacy area of an HR consulting firm. I loved it because it was so fascinating. I worked with pharmacists who were tired of "counting pills" as they called it. My experience probably would have qualified me to take the pharm tech exam. I looked into it at one point and it topped out under 30K in the Phoenix area, which was a lot less than I made at the consulting firm. It is interesting, so if you want to do it because you like it, I would say go for it. If you are looking for a good career, keep in mind that the money in pharmacy goes to the pharmacists and the drug reps. Any school that offers the training should be able to tell you how much you could expect to make upon graduation and passing the exam. Do your homework and see if it will fit your needs.
