I'm not in a quilt group. However, one suggestion I'd make is to go to the library, dig thru the hundred books and find a few with quilting ideas. I borrowed a book once that showed several blocks finished off different ways and with different colors. Quite interesting. You can make bunches of quilts from one single block--------if you vary the setting +/or the color.
