A very handsome actor plays him. Montalbano has a bit of humor in them so i like him best. Most take place in Venice. It's rather funny hearing German spoken in the Beck series. they are playing Italians. At least it's something new to watch and read.
I find I'm really liking the Scandinavian authors of detective mysteries. Along with some of the author's you have read, I'm thoroughly enjoying Henning Mankell's "Wallander" series... and, of course, Steig Larson's three starting with
The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo". Thanks for other suggestions; I'll pick some of them up.
