For several years I've been using these snips next to my sewing machine for clipping threads, corners, etc. They're so handy and easy to use. This past weekend I happened to see them at Home Depot in the gardening section. They're calling the scissors "pruning snips" and they are only $10.97. At Hobby Lobby and Joann's the regular price is $15.99 (although Joann does have them on sale right now for $9.59). The only difference I can see is that the "pruning snips" come with a plastic blade cover which the sewing snips do not have, which is a plus. Anyway, they appear to be the very same snips at a lower price at Home Depot.
