I belong to an 80+ member guild and currently we have community service projects (a quilt for a local museum that will be worked on jointly by members; small quilts for Child Protective Services; a "house" themed quilt for the local Habitat for Humanity branch to raffle as a fundraiser). Many of our monthly programs have a small fee for materials, but some are free. We recently had a paper piecing class; today it was machine applique. In January we had a "garage sale" for sewing items (lots of fun). Next month our president is leading a hands-on project based on "The Foldy Stuff" patterns which are fast and fun (just Google it); we're planning a one soon on the 10 Minute Block technique.
