I was doubtful if I could do SID on this quilt and keep it looking really nice, but several years ago I had quilted this same pattern, same colors with SID on a wall hanging for this same customer. When she brought the quilt to me I felt I needed to quilt it the same way as the wall hanging was quilted so if she decided to use them in the same room they would look well together. It was very time consuming as I needed to really slow down to stay in the ditch. But all said and done I really love the quilt. I am glad I broke out of the thinking that quilts with a lot of angles need cury quilting to soften them. I encourage you to go for it!!
