Several years ago I made a scrappy top, only, and didn't line it because I thought that might make ironing a problem when it was washed. So I zigzagged all the seams, which wasn't too bad because the pieces were postcard size. I put interfacing in the top and made buttonholes to match the holes in plastic shower curtain liners.
