Default Hi Ya'll, southern gal here

Just found your site and thought I'd try it out. I'm new to quilting. Had a lady from church teach me about a year ago but recently found out she had left out a few important details so I'm having to relearn several things not to mention I have to find someone who can teach me beyond the basics. Have joined up with my local quilt shop so should do well there. I've finished 2 quilts and a table runner. Have 3 other projects I'm in the middle of and one that I'm going to start next week. After competing in a jelly roll race I realized that I love pre-cut fabric and will be using a lot of it in the near future I think. I homeschooled my children until 2 years ago when they graduated. They are now in college and doing well. Dd has one more year and will graduate with a degree in dance and religious studies. Ds in majoring in psychology and Information Technology and is in ROTC. Both go to same school. I'm in the process of renewing my RN license. Don't know if I'll go back to work or just volunteer at a local medical clinic here in town. Up until last year I predominately scrapbooked but since kids are out of house that has slowed down considerably and I'm finding I'm replacing it with quilting. It can get tedious at times but I love the finished product. Don't know if I'll ever be able to do some of the intricate designs I've seen here but I know I'll have fun.
