I agree with others. Britex in the city is a lot of show and no go. Prices are very high and while some interesting fabrics are available, the fabric and accessories have little application to quilting. I really recommend the stores in Berkeley--they are worth the trip. If you are a "bargain hunter" you can't go wrong with Stone Mountain's Daughter. Their sale racks in the back are phenomenal. I recently went in for one yard and left with 20 yards of material ($4.75-5.10 a yard) of civil war prints ( Marcus, Windham, ThimbleBerries, RJR, Maywood, Moda & others) which was great. If in Berkeley, check out Berkeley Bowl--a great grocery store as well.
