I don't have a longarm, but I think if you loosen the tension on BOTH the needle thread and top thread by a tiny bit, then balance the tensions so that the dots are mostly showing on the back side, the threads won't pull so hard against each other and the dots of opposite colors will all but disappear in the first laundering.
