I decided to start a new crazy quilts- will wools- making a (calendar quilt) so i have January & February done-
i also started making paper cut applique blocks with wool (hawaiian applique) i really LOVE these! i am totally enjoying making these blocks. I draw the papercut design on freezer paper, press it to the wool- cut it out then applique it to a background block- I don't know what kind of quilt they may turn into for now i am just enjoying making the blocks
i just love how they are turning out.
and i am putting to use some of the recycled wools i have filling the sewing room closet. everything is recycled---some of them i dyed- some are (natural- as they were when they were a piece of clothing) all has been washed in hot water, rinsed in cold, dried in a hot dryer---wool is without a doubt my favorite fiber to work with
