OK, since the Featherweight can not be used for the quilting of the quilt, can I use my 71 year old Singer 201? That is the only other machine I have. It is supposed to be a "work horse", but just want to make sure I can use it to do the quilting. I use it to make all my quilt tops. Yes, you can use your 201 for FMQ. It is a work horse, and does a beautiful job. Plus it has the larger harp area. Many consider the 201 to be Singer's finest machine. **Just please be sure to have all of the wiring checked out before sewing on it to ensure it's safe to use.**
