I had this same problem until I taped (painters tape) a safety pin on the back right side of my machine, put the
thread spool in a small glass or cup behind the machine and thread the spool first thru the little circle part of the
pin, then thread thru the machine in the normal way. This worked for me. I can't find the polyester clear thread,
anyone know where to get that online?
