I'm going to the Oregon Coast to a 5 bedroom beach house for 4 days. My two kids and their spouses and my granddaughter are meeting us there. I am bringing my sewing machine. Is that stupid? I have to stop and pick it up (it had repairs done on it) on the way to the coast, so I want to bring some fabric and maybe sew. There is a casino nearby and the beach a block away, but I don't think I can go 4 days without sewing. I really don't have any hand sewing to do. Do it. It's your vacation & my experience has been when you get kids & grandkids together that they often will go off on their own together to do something like skiing or surfing. Then you can enjoy sewing in a beautiful atmosphere and everybody is happy.
