I'm going to the Oregon Coast to a 5 bedroom beach house for 4 days. My two kids and their spouses and my granddaughter are meeting us there. I am bringing my sewing machine. Is that stupid? I have to stop and pick it up (it had repairs done on it) on the way to the coast, so I want to bring some fabric and maybe sew. There is a casino nearby and the beach a block away, but I don't think I can go 4 days without sewing. I really don't have any hand sewing to do. I have brought my sewing machine along on vacations (where I would have the space) since I was 15! And that's a LONG time ago! (And if there isn't room to take my machine, I make sure I have enough hand work to do. Sometimes its the only time of the year I get any appliqué done.) For the last several years, I've taken my machine to the house we rented at the Outer Banks. Especially if it rains, I'm not the one going nuts over being trapped inside and having to play board games to pass the time! Take it with you and enjoy your vacation!
