Ok ... now I'm really BUMMED. He wrote back, said may be interested in an "offer" and is available to show it to me Sunday. The problem is my husband is catching a plane Sunday morning. There is no way I'm going to a strangers house from Craig's list without my husband. I think I'll check with a neighbor to see if he is willing to drive up there with me.
