Hearing this reminds me of when I was 4 years old in Germany. I had gotten up in the middle of the night and the blue food color was left out where I could get to it. The next morning my parents were shocked to see our German Shepard dyed blue for Easter.
Eons ago my son was invited to a special Hindu festival with the family of his friend. I made him dress in his best clothing for the outing. I was horrified when they returned him to me --BRIGHT PINK - from head to toe!!! Turns out they went to a festival called Holi which involves throwing dye at each other. His hair was pink for a week - as was his skin from the scrubbing. His clothing - including a brand new Jets starter jacket - were ruined.
