There are places that you can purchase batiks online at a discount. Someone previously mentioned Thousands of Bolts. Another is Marshall Dry Goods
http://www.marshalldrygoods.com/stor...;search]=batik. Their's are under $5/yd. I recently got some for the back & binding of a quilt and it was the same brand/quality that my LQS had. I do try to support my LQS whenever I can, but I am also trying to be careful due to the economy.
