Yes, peroxide will fade, especially if it isn't mixed good, it will fade in spots. Oxy clean is good and also Calgon will remove stains. Years ago I almost ruined my baby diapers with hard water and clorox( those 2 sure don't mix). I set out a barrell and caught rain water and fixed a tub of water and calgon and let them soak overnight and they were snow white. After that Calgon was a staple at my house. Never forgot it.
