Sounds look a good deal. But I'd be sure to wash it first to see how much it might shrink.
The shrinkage could be a great benefit. I have a friend who made a canvas cover for her ironing table, she didn't prewash it, but once it was on she spritzed it with water. It shrunk as it dried, and now you can bounce a quarter off that board.
