Yes, I use the Mark-B-Gone water soluble marker to mark out the feathered heart and the center motif that hasn't been quilted yet. You can see a little bit of the blue marking in the unquilted area in one of the pictures. In the border I used white chalk to mark a registration dot and the center line of the feather spray. I used a curved ruler to make the arched "window" and the little feather spray inside is done freehand with no marking other than that center line to keep me from making the feather uncentered.

I adore the mark-b-gone pens and prefer them to almost any other marking tool, chalk runs a close second. I also use the purple air erase pens too for projects where I just need to quickly mark a registration and don't need it to last very long. They are great for marking lines for embroidery.
