pfd's are good to use for printing pictures (prepared for dyeing) fabrics- some quilt shops carry them- also dye companies such as Dharma Trading Company.
or you can prepare any fabric you want to print on-
i've made labels with prepared fabrics (pre-washed with detergent- rinsed twice---no fabric softener- either used with soda ash or bubble jet set---pressed to freezer paper & run through the printer- set aside to cure for 24 hours-then heat set-i've used some white on whites- and other prints-that went with the quilt the label was for-
the white on whites do show through the picture/text-so you may not want to use it for photo's --unless they would enhance the picture.
it is easy to prepare and use what ever you want- and much more (cost-effective) than the pre-made fabric printer sheets.
