This is one pattern I love in scrappy looks, so use as many fabrics as you want or as you have!

Here's a really great eBay seller who can help you with this - 40 six-inch wide strips of 30's repro's for $27. He's got other deals on various other types of fabrics - fat quarters, yard assortments, two-yard assortments, etc. Look and see if he has what you want. Occasionally, you will get a "stinker" fabric in the assortments, but the ones I've gotten are almost all good quality and have allowed me to handle a lot of fabric by different manufacturers. http://www.ebay.com/itm/400285467070

This pattern also looks good in just two colors plus the background - the "ties" forming rings around the background snowballs.

White or natural muslin or kona type cottons would be great, or you could use white on white prints - I love WOW with the 30's repro's. Have fun! Love those 30's!
