I would like to thank everyone for all of the wonderful comments. I called my son to share your many encouraging responses. He, too, is proud of this quilt. Now, I am finishing an outfit that I made for my little granddaughter and designing a quilt for my other son, who recently received his Master's from Michigan State. I'm new to quilting, but not new to sewing.
