Default Quilts for a family of three

Our SS teacher and his wife are good friends of ours. We gave them quilts as late 2010 Christmas gifts and posted them here:

Their daughter got married in 2009, when we had really started quilting a lot, and we were way behind in our projects. Their quilts have languished in our unifinished stacks all that time. Now they are expecting a baby (in May) and the shower is today. While we were working on the baby quilt we knew we also had to get their quilts finished.

We got a top finished for him, and started working on the wedding quilts and found we had a good bit of their fabric left. Kimberly said she wished she had known that because she'd like the baby's quilt to be like his mom and dads' quilts. We set the original aside and started cutting on their fabrics, and ended up with a really cute set of quilts for the whole family.

The pattern is Potato Chip. You can really tell we were complete amateurs by looking at the bigger quilts. There are lots of places where the blocks don't line up and some of them are a bit wavy. Our piecing has improved and the baby's quilt is much better. The fabrics are Robert Kaufman, and I'm not sure, but I think they are out of print now.

Thanks for looking,

Darren
