A dear friend taught me to quilt. We hadn't known each other long then, and she offered to teach me the basics (only lessons I've ever had, actually). We had a wonderful time, and we ended up making several small quilts collaboratively before she moved to a different state. She is still one of my best friends, even though now she lives far far away from me, and quilting is just
one of the things we talk about. And when I visit her, or she comes here to me, we always make a quilt together!
