Sorry to hear about your problems, I do not have new one.. but do have the old 830 in the "RED" Case and a Virtuosa 153 both of which I have not had a moments trouble with either. Sure hope someone on board has suggestions to help you.

I have the same two Berninas as yours, and I love them both! Would not part with the original 830 when I bought the new one, and I use them both, and well as my old Singers and FW. When they came out with the new 830, I asked the dealer why they used the same number to the new one, and he said that model was the best one they evey made, so wanted to call the new fancy one by the same number. Hope she gets the problems worked out and enjoys her Bernina as much as I do mine!
