My first featherweight is a 1947 and my next is 1950's... don't remember the exact year. I use my '47 all the time.... it does such nice stitches and I love to hear the 'click, click, click' as she sews. The scroll faceplate is so pretty and I leave it out all the time. ... and like so many others have said, it is light and easy to take with you for a class or just to sew with your buddies group.
