celtic dreams quilt
my daughter requested a quilt from me 15 months ago----October of 2010---a celtic design in the center in purples & dark green
she told me at the time---i know you probably wont have time to get it done for Christmas- but maybe for my birthday? (March 29) not a bed quilt- a throw size would be great---
well- it was not done for Christmas---it was not even considered by birthday 2011 (although i had purchased some fabrics for it)
this past Christmas i called her to ask what she wanted for Christmas---she said- so i take it i won't be getting my quilt---
so February 2012 rolls around & she calls me & says---
in case i'm not getting my quilt for this birthday either-this is what i want for my birthday...
my hubby looked at me & said----" why have you not made Theresa her quilt?"
no excuse...except i just had not figured out what to do
he told me---you have about 5 weeks- you need to get at it!
I finished the binding today! we are having a birthday dinner with her tomorrow!
the backing is so much more AWESOME than the front---it is fabulous! it is minkie & oh so beautiful- i am just amazed how great the quilting looks on the back! the front is ok---i can sure tell it was (done in a hurry) but boy i love the back!
anyhow-
boy is she going to be surprised!
