Nancy my room is only about 75 feet from the house and his shop is about another 50 feet. Also have a chicken coop not too far and I can hear the rooster crow and the hens cackle. Or brag about laying an egg. So we are not too far apart during the day. I try to get what housework done in the mornings and sew in the afternoon now that I don't need a fire in the stove.
Trish, I agree it does sound like a heavenly set up! I have a SIL who just had to have her 'own' craft shop so her hubby built her one in the back yard. She is a scrapbooker and wanted this shop so bad. Well, she never goes out there - it is either too cold - too hot - too many bugs - too far away from the house, etc.. I am glad you use yours, it sounds perfect!
