I was shopping for sheets today at Bed Bath & Beyond and saw sheets made from Beech trees that was labeled "Eco Friendly". I confess I don't know any more than that. I will say it was very soft, light weight, and I think I remember it said it was similar to voile, and I would say it was semi-sheer. It felt lovely and would make great summer sheets!! It was listed as 300 thread count but it felt much smoother/softer - very close to the 630 TC cotton that I purchased.

ahhhh .... found the link and guess what ... it comes in both a regular weave AND jersey knit!!
