I have a 1948 FW also. I bought it from a friend who had three of them. I did not know what year it was going to be but I knew if I had a choice, I would pick a 1948 because that was the year I was born. I brought her home, looked up the date and it was a '48. I was so so excited to finally be getting a FW and then when it was the '48 year I was over the moon. It was a big fat dollop of icing on the FW cake. (Cake is my favorite comfort food too!)
