I patch them together and use them. If it is for clothing I used a regular stitch so they stay together or if for emb work I use a big basting stitch on the machine as I may want to trim out the blank areas and the basting makes it easier but works well while I emb. Sometimes what I do is cut out the center of my stablizer leftover piece and put in a good sized one and use the rest sort of like a frame so I don't have to use so much new stablizer. Got to make that $ stretch.
