Well, folks, I thought that I'd try again - this time I purchased another jelly roll - not a sale price - and the colors and patterns were gorgeous. However, when I got it home and unrolled it, there were supposed to be 24 strips - 3 each of 8 different patterns - but, one of the patterns was missing a piece. Since it's dark now, I WILL be returning it tomorrow and that will end any additional purchases from Wal-Mart. My mother always told me that you get what you pay for!! Learned my lesson.
