I paper piece log cabin quilts. Cut your strips to the approximate size then sew on the line! I never, ever pre-cut strips, just eyeball them. Can also chain piece blocks, sew all #2s, 3s, 4s, etc. Couldn't be easier. Linda Causee books have easy log cabin patterns of all sizes. Hope this helps.

Maybe I am "quilt pattern challenged" but I always find EB's patterns confusing and "time wasting". This is just my opinion, so please don't flame me. EB has a huge following and I know many, many folks love her. I just can't seem to wrap my mind around her instructions, so I know it is ME and not EB. I do love her Sun Bonnet Sue patterns, though! :-)
