I'm sold on Ginghers. I have about 5 pairs, one I've had for about 30 years, still very sharp. Next would be Fiskars, which is what I use when I don't want to risk my Ginghers. For DH, who just uses scissors for paper or other stuff, I buy the scissors from the dollar store, to keep him away from my good scissors.
