That is a neat site - in fact I had forgotten about those multiplication tables charts, too. Secondly, when I am going through my scraps looking for a basic size to use for paper piecing or an isolated block (say a 2.5 x 3 inches), I have an index card that I marked the inches and when my eyes are crossing but I think I found the right size piece, I can just hold it up to be card to be sure it is a 2 1/2" or whatever size before I toss it on the table. Amazing how you think something is big enough - - - but nope, it is a little short.
