Love your log cabin quilt. You may still have enough material left over to make a string quilt. I am in the process of putting one together. I cut 9 inch squares for my foundation, then took my first strip and pinned it cross ways from a corner to corner, then took a another strip face down on top of the pinned strip and sewed the two strips together about 2/8's from the edge. Pressed it open and continued to do this until that side was completed, then did the same with the other side. After I got all the 9 in squares I wanted, I cut 2 1/2 squares of the border material and used white material and did lattice work all around. Still have to sew the borders on.
