Default Turning 12 for senior piano student

It's rare for a piano kid to keep taking lessons through their senior year. When they do I always give them special recognition at the end-of-year recital. This year that special recognition is a quilt. I think I'll have it displayed on the rail at the front of the church where we hold the recital then at the end let my one senior girl know it's hers.

Pattern: Turning 12 with optional 6.5" border. (This pattern uses 12 fat quarters plus yardage for the optional border.)

Fabric: I collect fat quarters at shop hops - it's a cheap way to spend a little at each shop. I've been collecting any combination of black/white/red. The music prints were ordered online - sorry don't have the name of each one. (Our school colors are red/white. I wanted something that would reflect that and her piano playing, but not too boldly. Wanted something that will grow with her wherever the years may take her. Four of the 12 fqs are music prints.)

Backing: ordered online. I THINK it's a Timeless Treasure, but ... not sure.

Binding: pulled over from back.

Quilting: Cross hatch

Size: 66 X 82
