You make this sound like Singer acquired Pfaff/Viking. Please do "thorough" research on all of the companies and the machines they manufacture. I was surprised. I know the Bernina is a great machine, but I have a Viking Diamond and love it.

I own the Bernina 830. I love it. I wouldn't buy a new Pfaff or Viking since the merger with Singer. My two cents.
