I agree ... make the whole quilt first so you can spot where you need to clarify directions. Better yet, write your directions and get a friend to make the quilt. She will have a different point of view that you would and might spot things you would take for granted.

I do like to have cutting instructions so I can do as much as possible before getting together to sew. I just don''t cut well with others as I am too distractable.
