I have a small sewing room. I do cut big pieces of fabric with my large cutting mat on my dining table. It is often left on the table and just turn it so we have room to eat. I quilt there too. I piece in my sewing room and listen to HGTV on my TV. Granddaughter that lives with us, odd hours, usually eats standing in the kitchen, it is a small house everything centers around the kitchen and dining room, open area.
