2 things came to my mind: cutting fabric in wide strips alternating with French braid strips in tone on tones pulled from the fabric colors and using the fabric as a border and backing. Or picking one of the lighter colors and cutting a good sized center panel in the light fabric then from the African fabric cut the shape of Uganda to fit on the light colored center panel and machine or hand appliqué it and use your print to border and back it. Hope I explained clearly enough-- it looks good in my head!
